THE DAY:-
The society enjoyed an unfamiliar but 'Delicious' sausage 'n' egg bap with their tea/coffee upon arrival. Very rich and tasty....so much so Chris 'you fighter' Scott ordered another one!
The weather stayed fine throughout although it did threaten to rain at times (I think it did on some holes and not on others!) However the gods tried their best to shine on the Chilli Boys down below, especially after they'd been let down a fortnight before when 'Charming' Chapel En Le Frith GC got postponed after the aftermath of Hurricane Big Bertha! (Very apt!)
Winner Rob Tabbron lit up the course with a fantastically constructed round of 39 points. After scoring 18 points on the front he then went on to blob the 10th but instead of crumbling (like his playing partners!) reacted superbly by parring his way home.
''8 pars in his remaining 8 holes! It was ''Faldoesque'' at times and this strong finish made him win on a card playoff'' (Chairman Ben Jackson)
In runners up spot was Dunham Forest member Adam Hart with a classy 39 points.
''Adam has come into a rich vein of form recently. It's always a bit frustrating to get pipped on a card play off and it would've been his third win from only six starts in the CBGS. Instead Rob has made it his second win from six starts!!'' (Chairman Ben Jackson)
In third place was Ian Swindells with an impressive 36 points playing off 5.

The CBGS are definitely including DUNHAM on their 2015 roster! - it's an fantastic course. We just need to work on reducing the green fee a bit!
The day was concluded back at the restaurant with 17 diners enjoying a prize presentation banquet meal!
