THE DAY:-
A terrific day played in tricky and sticky conditions from the heavy thunderstorms the day before saw CBGS Chairman Ben Jackson take the spoils with a modest 29 points. New member Kelvyn Hughes narrowly missed out on a maiden win closely following behind with a creditable 28 points.
The team event was won by Captain Dean Wilcox, Matt Beresford, Derek Panton and Mick Hatton.
''I think Derek's birdie on the 8th hole for 5 points was the deciding factor. There was only 1 point between the top three teams!'' (Chairman Ben Jackson)
16 players attended the day - another record!!!
The day was concluded at the restaurant with 15 diners enjoying a prize presentation banquet meal!
